Online Sessions

I work with clients virtually via Zoom, and clients tend to pay via Zelle (kenvoorhees1@gmail.com) or a check in the mail. Zoom is a recommended healthcare option that is HIPAA compliant with all federal confidentiality guidelines. I have used it in conference trainings with over 50 people as well as for individual, couples, and group therapy sessions. I find, once set up, it is easy and fun to use. I have found that, as IFS sessions do not always fit easily into the 50-minute therapy hour, Zoom allows the time boundaries to be more easily fungible when extra time is needed.

Many people find their work, travel, and family life so hectic that online therapy sessions have become a preferred option for managing stress. I have spent the necessary time reviewing the relevant research, setting up, and becoming educated in tele-psychotherapy services. I recommend downloading and using the app on a computer or iPad, as the larger screens allow for a greater face-to-face visual connection, which makes online therapy more powerful. You can also use your smartphone in a pinch. A Zoom link will be sent to you for your initial session, but please save the link as it can be used for all ongoing sessions as well.

You will find it quite simple to set up, and here is a link to the FAQ about how to download Zoom and use it, as well as a link to Zoom’s video tutorials.
