Therapy
Are you finding that the ways you’ve learned to manage stress, pain, or overwhelm are starting to wear thin—or even backfire? Maybe you notice yourself stuck in loops that feel out of sync with who you truly are: turning to substances more often than you’d like, getting pulled into the same relationship dynamics, or acting in ways that leave you feeling disconnected or ashamed. Do you sense that beneath all of it lies a deep well of anxiety, loneliness, or sadness that you’re constantly trying to outrun? Perhaps you’ve started to believe that this weight is just part of who you are—something you’ll always have to live with. And maybe, just maybe, you’re wondering if there’s another way. A more sustainable, compassionate way to relate to what’s happening inside you.
Many therapies focus on helping people cope — giving you tools to soothe symptoms and strategies to function more effectively. And while those approaches can be helpful, they often miss the root cause. What if those uncomfortable feelings and exhausting behaviors aren’t signs of something wrong with you, but signals from parts of you that are trying—however awkwardly—to help? What if instead of just managing the symptoms, we could understand and heal what’s underneath? Imagine what life might feel like if the burden you’ve been carrying wasn’t yours to carry anymore. What might open up if you didn’t have to work so hard just to be okay?
Through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS), we begin to understand that these patterns and behaviors aren’t failures or flaws—they’re parts of you doing their best to protect you, often carrying pain that hasn’t had space to be seen, heard, or healed. Whether it’s a part that pushes you to perform, a part that numbs you with substances, or one that spirals into self-criticism, each has a story to tell. IFS offers a compassionate map inward, where we don’t push these parts away—we listen. As we build trust within, burdens can be released, and roles within we are stuck can soften. This work is deep, but you don’t have to do it alone. There is a path toward inner clarity, connection, and freedom—and I’d be honored to walk it with you.
