Gay & Queer Men’s IFS and Somatic Process Group

Tuesdays | 7:00–8:30 PM (ET)
$100 per session

This ongoing online process group is designed for gay and queer men who want to deepen their emotional lives, strengthen their capacity for self-leadership, and experience healing within the context of authentic relationship. Integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic psychotherapy, and interpersonal process, the group provides a safe and supportive environment to explore shame, attachment wounds, internalized homophobia, loneliness, intimacy, sexuality, masculinity, and the chronic vigilance that so often develops in response to living in a world that has not always felt safe.

While individual therapy offers profound opportunities for healing, group therapy creates something uniquely transformative. As Irving Yalom observed, healing occurs not only through insight, but through genuine human connection. Within the group, members discover they are not alone in their struggles, witness themselves through the eyes of others, receive emotionally corrective relational experiences, and begin recognizing the protective strategies and deeper emotional experiences that shape their lives, often outside of conscious awareness. As these inner experiences naturally emerge within the group, they can be met with curiosity, compassion, mindfulness, and embodied awareness, creating new possibilities for healing that participants can carry back into their individual therapy.

The group welcomes the full range of human experience. Together, members may work with issues such as shame, addictions, body image, relationship struggles, anxiety, grief, and the lingering effects of developmental trauma. At the same time, the group is not solely about relieving suffering. It is equally about rediscovering what trauma and isolation often obscure: a deeper sense of connection, belonging, community, authenticity, and the innate human capacity for joy. In that way, the group becomes not only a place of healing, but also a place of growth, vitality, and coming home to oneself.
